What are SUPERFOODS?

Superfoods are certain whole fruits, vegetables and plant foods that are now being recognized for their exceptionally high nutritional capacity to nourish, build healthy and balanced bodies at a cellular level, with less fat, more muscle, loads of energy, and consequently a feeling of overall well-being.

Only whole, natural foods can cure illnesses, prevent diseases and build our immune systems. We’ve all heard one time or another that we need to eat at least five servings of fresh fruits and vegetables per day for optimal health, which recommendation has been scientifically proven by all the top medical organizations in the world.

But I don’t know many people who consume that ratio of healthy, fresh food consistently every day, do you?

I consider myself a health conscious individual who try to make healthy foods most times, because I think the prevention of diseases, such as:

Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Problems, Arthritis, Colds and Flus, Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia, Headaches, Back Pain, amongst many more, is better than cure. But I don’t manage to do that every day, what with probably trying to do too many things and other demands on my time.

So it must be even more difficult for someone who isn’t making healthier food choices yet to get the minimum daily intake of necessary nutrients for a healthy body. And even those of us that do, are not getting our minimum daily nutritional needs met, due to mass agriculture production in depleted soils, chemical fertilizers, loss of vitamins and minerals in foods during transportation, and their prolonged storage.

These days it is so easy to become healthier and healthier every day! Eating the best whole, natural food that you can, coupled with regular exercise will give you real, measurable health benefits. It’s great to have the best, natural super foods available at the press of a button. And the cost isn’t even a factor, if you consider the top quality nutrition you get, and what we sometimes spend on inferior and junk foods.

Feeling healthy, strong and energetic physically, with a clear mind and bright optimism has no price. But the proof of the pudding, as they say, is in the eating. I’ve never felt better and healthier in my life now that I’m making the daily choice to consume natural superfoods.
